Background

Diabetes and hypertension are a rapidly growing public health problem in the Kingdom of Eswatini.

Approximately a quarter of the population aged 15-69 have hypertension and almost one fifth live with diabetes or pre-diabetes

Globally, diabetes and hypertension are among the leading drivers of disability, being responsible for the majority of strokes, kidney failure, blindness, and lower limb amputation
